Being fortunate to be taught by Elie Wiesel during Eckerd College’s Winter Term, I was honored and appreciative of being able to witness firsthand Elie Wiesel’s great capacity for reaching his students through his eloquent words extolling peace, and of never forgetting people’s great capacity for empathy. The class had a transformative effect on me, and never shall I forget.
