Professor Hawk has worked as an actor and director across the country. Directing credits for Eckerd include The Best of Everything (2016), Waiting for Godot (2015), Some Girl(s) (2014), Legally Blonde: The Musical (2013), Dark Play: Or Stories for Boys (2012), The Call of the Wild (2011), Working: A Musical (2010), Reckless (2009), A Stone That Sings (2008), and Alice Through Glass (2007). He has received the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Meritorious Award for Excellence in Direction for his productions of The Call of the Wild, Working: A Musical, and Reckless.

Professional directing credits include One Slight Hitch (American Stage), The Last Night of Ballyhoo (Jobsite Theater), Miracle on South Division Street (A Simple Theatre), Good Egg (A Simple Theatre), Closetland (Jobsite Theater), Congratulations, Joe (A Simple Theatre), and Death and the Maiden (A Simple Theatre). In 2013 he was nominated for a Theatre Tampa Bay award for Best Director of a Play for his production of Good Egg.

Professional acting credits include Art (American Stage), The Foreigner (American Stage) Barefoot in the Park (American Stage), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (freeFall Theatre), Hate Mail (The Studio@620), Love, Bukowski (California Repertory Company), Cider House Rules: Parts I & II (California Repertory Company), Gross Indecency (Huntington Theatre), Over the Tavern II: King O’ The Moon (Studio Arena/Pittsburgh Public), and Refuge (Soho Repertory). In 2009, Circumference of a Squirrel, a one man show he starred in, won the distinction of being named one of the Top Ten Plays of the Year by Creative Loafing Tampa.

Recently he wrote, directed, and acted in a short film titled Mr. Egg, which was an official selection of the Cinequest Film Festival.

He holds a diploma from The Juilliard School Drama Division, and an M.F.A. in Acting/Directing from California State University, Long Beach. He is a proud member of the Actors Equity Association.
