Interdisciplinary Arts

Join us on an exploration of visual arts, music and theater, creative writing and poetry, film and animation, graphic design, human development and creative therapy techniques.

Blending the strengths of various majors at Eckerd College, this program challenges students to be storytellers. Students can expect to explore the creative process through various expression channels.

This summer program is ideal for rising 10th through 12th grade students interested in pursuing any art major in college. Students can expect to explore the creative process in many different ways. Students will have the opportunity to show their favorite projects at an open-house gallery on the closing day of the program.

Activities

Students enrolled in the program will:

  • Engage in college-level art workshops taught by Eckerd College faculty in small class sizes
  • Create a passion piece (in any available media) to show at a gallery held on the last day
  • Enjoy evening activities led by our residential counselors
  • Experience Eckerd College’s beautiful coastal campus and the brand new Nielsen Center for the Visual Arts
