Biography
Eduardo Fernandez grew up in Madrid, Spain. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He did post-doctoral work at the Center for Turbulence Research at Stanford University. His research interests are in the area of computational/theoretical plasma physics, with applications to plasmas used in space propulsion (Hall thrusters). At Eckerd, his teaching appointment is shared between the physics and mathematics disciplines. Eduardo enjoys basketball and going to the beach with his family.
