The Fourth Annual Celebration of the Arts at Eckerd College will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15 at various venues on campus. It is sponsored by the Creative Arts Collegium.
The daylong event, which is free and open to the public, highlights the creative inspiration fostered at Eckerd College, one of the hidden treasures of this great city of the arts. The day will feature visual and performing arts, including theater, spoken word and gallery exhibits.

Instrumental Faculty Duo

Noon–1 p.m.
Classical music by clarinetist David Irwin and flutist Barbara Prescott, joined by students.
Student Public Speaking Contest
Roberts 101
2–3 p.m.
Eckerd College students compete for prizes in a speech contest juried by Eckerd College faculty.
Spoken Word
Roberts 101
4–5 p.m.
A selection of readings of poetry and prose by faculty and students. Presented by the Creative Writing Discipline.
Eckerd College Arts Club Showcase
Miller Auditorium
6 p.m.
A concert by Eckerd College’s a cappella group The Tritones, followed by a long-form improvisational comedy show starring the members of Eckerd College’s Improv Club, Another Man’s Trash.
Waiting for Godot
Bininger Theater
8–10 p.m.
Samuel Beckett’s absurdist comedy about the meaning of the human condition. Sponsored by the Theatre Discipline.
Robert Hodgell: Religious Works
Cobb Gallery
10 a.m.–6 p.m.
An exhibition of paintings, prints, drawings and sculpture by thefounding faculty member of the Eckerd College Visual Arts Discipline.
Books of Common Prayer
