Chemistry Professor David D. Grove was passionate about involving students in scientific research. Because his students were central to all that he did, his legacy will live on in all those he educated. To honor him and his contributions, the College has established an endowment supporting research at Eckerd—the David Grove Endowment for Natural Sciences Research—and an annual scholarship in his memory to be awarded in the 2024-25 academic year to a chemistry major. An anonymous donor has offered to match up to $50,000 in donations in honor of Dr. Grove.
