My name is Lando Pieroni, and I’m thrilled to be serving as your admission counselor. Growing up in Florence, Italy, where amidst the city’s rich tapestry of history and art, I developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives. This passion led me to pursue a B.A. in Psychology and two minors in Art History and Cultural Heritage and Preservation Studies from Wake Forest University, where I discovered the profound impact of a liberal arts education.

At Eckerd College, I am privileged to guide students through the exciting process of exploring our vibrant academic community. I’m genuinely excited about the benefits of a liberal arts education—how it fosters critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability—all essential skills for success in today’s world.

Having grown up in Italy, I understand the value of an international perspective and the transformative power of higher education. I am committed to helping students discover how Eckerd College can be the perfect fit for their academic and personal growth. Whether it’s discussing our innovative academic programs and study abroad opportunities, our supportive community, or the beautiful campus here in St. Petersburg, Florida, I’m here to help students find their place and thrive.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing in a bluegrass band with some of our Eckerd professors, birding, and climbing at our local rock climbing gym.

Let’s connect and explore how Eckerd College can be the launching pad for your future success. I look forward to meeting you!

A presto!
